"SplitCell": Cell dissociation

SplitCell

In order to avoid contaminating cell cultures with contents of animal origin, MidiMed has developed SplitCell.  SplitCell is an enzyme of plant origin that substitutes trypsin perfectly and that was optimised in order to increase its activity to maximum on being detached from cells.

Comparaison Trypsine et SplitCell

Different SplitCell are :

        *SC1 : Dissociation of tissues

        *SC2 : Dissociation of moderately attached cells (Vero, MRC5, ...)

        *SC3 : Dissociation of slightly attached cells (CHO, BHK, ...)

Anti-SplitCell

MidiMed has developed an inhibitor of proteolytic enzyme as the inhibition of SplitCell must not include the serum in order to preserve the product as well as the culture without serum: The Anti-SplitCell. Its distinctive feature is that it inhibits the activity of enzymes, usually used in tissue culture, in order to break away the attached cells that are attached to the culture, such as Trypsin, with their surface.
